Medical Receptionist The front desk receptionist will be responsible for serving as the first person of contact for patient. This position requires a warm, friendly, professional manner and the ability to multitask, organize and prioritize effectively. We are seeking to fill a position at our Lapeer gynecology office.Qualifications:
High School Diploma Computer Knowledge Medical Office Experience( highly desired) Knowledge of Insurances ( helpful). Responsibilities- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly
