Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team working the shift of Monday through Thursday from 12pm-7:00pm and Friday 12-5pm! The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced medical environment. This role is crucial for providing excellent patient care and supporting our medical staff. Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments efficiently while considering provider availability and patient needs. Verify insurance information and ensure proper documentation is maintained for billing purposes. Utilize medical coding knowledge to assist in the accurate processing of patient records. Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and handling inquiries professionally. Maintain computerized scheduling systems, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate. Perform 10 key typing tasks for data entry and record management as required. Collaborate with medical staff to optimize appointment flow and minimize wait times. Coordinate with pediatrician offices for coordination of care Assist with office management tasks to ensure smooth daily operations within the medical office. Requirements Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred, with familiarity in medical billing and coding. Previous knowledge in coding for speech, OT, PT, ABA, counseling would be ideal! Proficiency in using Raintree or similar electronic health record systems is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and staff. Knowledge of insurance verification processes and requirements is essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Attention to detail is critical for maintaining accurate patient records and scheduling information.
