Full Job Description Job Summary:
Ear, Nose & Throat Consultants (ENTC), with multiple locations in Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb Counties, is excited to announce multiple opportunities to become an integral part of our growing team as a full-time Medical Receptionist! As a Medical Receptionist, you will be directly involved in our Perfect Patient Journey, ensuring that we deliver patient-focused care at all times. We are looking for individuals who learn quickly, are capable of working independently as well as part of a team and have a positive attitude.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Greet patient(s) immediately upon their arrival. Effectively manages patient schedule. Coordinate check-in and check-out of patients. Organize required intake paperwork. Scan patient documents. Collect patient co-pays, balances and deductibles. Prep/maintain patient charts. File/organize patient charts and documents. Verify insurance upon patient arrival. Schedule patients follow up appointments. This job requires on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Must be customer service oriented. Preferred experience in a medical setting. Preferred use of medical terminology. Preferred knowledge of insurance.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years' related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
