Our busy Urology clinic is seeking an experienced, part-time Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. Candidates must possess excellent communication and problem solving skills. The candidate should also have the ability to work efficiently when faced with high volumes of phone calls, patients and multiple interruptions. Candidate must be proficient with EMR's. Ideal candidate will understand the important role they have in the patient experience; candidates need to be flexible and committed to being a part of our mission.
  • 1+ year of experience in a physician office environment
  • EMR experience a must General Summary of Duties
  • Scheduling procedure(s) for physicians and mid-level providers as needed
  • Responsible for obtaining authorizations for scheduled procedures/radiology exams
  • Responsible for assisting patients with education and planning
  • Communication with other healthcare providers office personnel
  • Ability to proficiently navigate hospital systems to obtain reports
  • Data entry and accurate timely documentation
  • Assists in patient scheduling, referrals, and lab test follow up as needed
  • Ability to create and maintain tracking mechanisms for following patient(s) testing/results
  • Organize/maintain and communicate schedules and changes for multiple providers
  • Schedule radiology studies/procedures and obtain authorizations as needed
  • Basic clerical duties, including answering phone(s)
Working Conditions:
Potential exposure to infectious diseases.
Physical Requirements of the job:
Prolonged sitting, some walking, reaching, , talk/hear, push/pull,/bend/ stoop, kneel and crouch. Occasionally lift and carry 1-50 lbs.

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
