Job:
CIMA is searching for a medical receptionist for our Haslett Primary Care office. Our medical receptionists are the faces of our practice and are the first people our patients encounter while visiting our providers. It is the responsibility our medical receptionists to create a welcoming and caring environment to ensure our patients will choose CIMA as their provider for life.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Welcomes patients to the practice in a friendly manner; checks patients in for appointments, obtains and verifies all necessary insurance and patient demographic information Collects patient co-payments and outstanding balances as needed Answers telephone in a timely and friendly manner Reviews voicemails throughout the day and returns patient calls promptly. Prepares for patient appointments by ensuring appropriate forms and medical records are in order. Treats patients with respect and responds to their needs in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner Completes the required checkout procedures at the end of the patient's appointment. Follows all HIPAA standards and procedures Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Medical office experience: 1 year (preferred) Customer service experience: At least 2 years (required) Capital Internal Medicine Associates, P.C. is an equal opportunity employer.
