Job Summary- MUST have dental front desk experience We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, familiarity with medical office operations, and proficiency in various electronic health record (EHR) systems. The Front Desk Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including appointment scheduling and rescheduling using systems like Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification procedures, including Medicare and other third-party payers Collect patient payments and process medical billing using appropriate coding such as CPT, ICD-10, ICD-9, and dental terminology when applicable Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in EMR systems such as Athenahealth, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and patient service skills Assist with data entry tasks such as typing reports, filing documents, and managing health information management systems Support clinic staff with administrative duties including office management, filing, and document review Ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times in accordance with HIPAA standards Qualifications Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred, especially in front desk or administrative support roles Proficiency with open dental Knowledge of medical billing procedures including CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and insurance verification processes Familiarity with medical terminology across various specialties including dental terminology when applicable Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10-key), and data entry accuracy Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and customer service orientation Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Knowledge of health information management standards and documentation review processes is desirable This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to providing quality patient care through efficient administrative support.
Pay:
$25.00 - $26.00 per hour
