Job Description
Meyering Family Dentistry is a friendly, patient-focused dental practice committed to providing exceptional care in a welcoming environment. We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team and serve as the first point of contact for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm, professional attitude.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Verify insurance coverage, process patient information and insurance claims and handle billing inquiries.
- Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage patient files and ensure accuracy and confidentiality of records.
- Coordinate with dentists and clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with administrative tasks and office organization.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with dental software. Open Dental is a plus.
- Basic computer proficiency and attention to detail.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Willingness to perform or assist with dental assistant duties on a very occasional basis is a plus.
