Job Description
We are looking for a full-time Front Desk Receptionist for our Professional Hearing Aid Center in St. Clair Shores. This position provides administrative and clerical support in a customer service capacity to patients and customers in a medical setting. Duties include, but are not limited to: Schedules and confirms patient appointments. Greets patients/visitors and obtains/updates copies of insurance cards and driver's licenses. Obtains/updates/organizes patient documentation to include, but not limited to, complete demographic information, current insurance information, Consent to Treat/Assignment of Benefits, Notice and Acknowledgement of Privacy Practices (HIPAA acknowledgement). Enters/updates patient information in the medical record. Verifies insurance benefits and processes/confirms referrals and authorizations as required by the patient's insurance plan. Manages patient invoices; proactively collects and posts co-payments, deductibles, and prior or past due balances. Actively reviewing company's accounts receivable. Reconciles all daily reports for accuracy and prepares bank deposits. Completes medical record release requests. Maintains adequate levels of supplies; accepts, checks in, and organizes incoming supply deliveries. Provides other general office and clerical support as assigned. Other duties assigned as needed.
