Full-Time Position Overview Eastlake Cardiovascular, P.C. is seeking a highly organized, professional, and patient-focused Medical Receptionist to support a high-volume, fast-paced cardiovascular practice's office in St. Clair Shores. This role creates a positive patient experience while ensuring efficient front-office operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in a team-driven environment, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a welcoming demeanor.
Schedule :
Monday through Friday, daytime hours (no evenings or weekends). Key Responsibilities Greet and check-in patients promptly, ensuring accurate demographics and insurance information Manage patient check-out, including scheduling follow-up appointments and providing visit summaries Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments across providers and locations Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments in accordance with office protocols Support front-end billing processes, including verifying insurance eligibility and addressing basic billing inquiries Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system Coordinate with clinical administrative teams to ensure smooth patient flow Answer and manage high-volume phone calls with professionalism and efficiency Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed to support office operations Qualifications 1+ year of medical receptionist or front office experience in a healthcare setting preferred Experience with EHR systems; EPIC experience preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patient-first mindset Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain composed under pressure Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and accountability Proficient in basic computer skills and scheduling systems Experience handling payments and familiarity with medical billing processes is a plus What We're Looking For - A successful candidate will be: Friendly, approachable, and service-oriented Proactive and solutions-focused Dependable with a strong work ethic Adaptable in a high-volume environment A collaborative team player with a positive attitude Benefits Competitive pay and benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision for full-time and ACA 30+ employees. 401k Option and Company paid Short-Term Disability for eligible full time Paid time off - vacation and sick time (Combined Time Off - CTO) A supportive and team-oriented workplace with a focus to work-life balance.
