Job Description

The Allergy and Asthma Center of Minnesota is searching for an energetic Front Desk Receptionist/office assistant to join our team ASAP in our new Minnetonka office. Please email resume and cover letter to be considered for an interview. We are a small specialty medical clinic and are looking for a friendly receptionist to answer phones, assist and check in patients, scheduling appointments and other misc. office tasks.
Work Schedule:
No nights, weekends or major holidays.

Wednesday:
9:30 a.m
  • 6:30 p.

Thursday:
8:30 a.m
  • 5:30 p.

Friday:
7:30 a.m.

Job Details:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Answering phones
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Greeting and checking-in patients
  • Reviewing/Verifying insurance benefits and financial information with patients
  • Entering paperwork into electronic medical record system
  • Collecting payments from patients at the time of service
  • Ensuring all paperwork is on file for every patient, file maintenance
  • General office duties: faxing, filing, copying
  • Providing patients with friendly and efficient experience
  • Assist in keeping track of hours for payroll
  • Other tasks as needed
Requirements:
  • Exceptional customer service is a MUST
  • Great phone communication skills
  • Punctuality and organizational skills are essential
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Speed and accuracy in data entry tasks
  • Organization
  • Attentiveness to details
  • Positive, friendly attitude
  • We have sensitive patients so cannot wear perfume or have smell of smoke.
Previous experience in a medical office and basic understanding of insurance benefits would be a plus, but not required.
Compensation :
$17
  • $20 an hour based on experience
