This position will involve working between our Monticello and Buffalo locations.
About the role:
As a vital member of our front desk team at West Metro Eye, you will be the first point of contact for patients and guests, setting the tone for their experience. We seek a professional with a warm and welcoming demeanor who can prioritize patient care while managing key administrative functions. In this role, you will facilitate check-in and check-out processes, handle incoming calls, coordinate patient referrals, and provide essential medical administrative support. You will greet and assist patients while maintaining professionalism and patient care priorities. Responsibilities include managing appointments, maintaining accurate records, handling calls, processing payments, and ensuring smooth front desk operations. You'll also track diagnostic tests, communicate important information to patients, and support administrative tasks like ordering supplies and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Meticulous attention to detail Ability to work independently and as well as in a team setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Personable and empathetic to patients and peers' needs and concerns. Effective time-management and productivity. Professional appearance and work ethic. Proficient in using relevant computer software and applications.
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED Preferred Education and Experience:
One year of experience in a medical office setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with patient scheduling software, preferably with at least one year of experience. Strong customer service background, ideally with two years of experience in a patient-facing or client service role.
Physical Requirements:
Must be comfortable working in close proximity to others on a continuous basis. Able to stand and/or walk for 50% to 75% of the workday. Can sit for up to 50% of the time. Capable of regularly lifting up to 10 pounds.
