This is not simply a receptionist position. The person in this role will manage important front-office, patient, financial, and administrative functions and, for the right candidate, grow into broader practice-management responsibility. What You'll Do Greet patients and families and manage check-in/check-out Answer phones and respond to email and other patient communications Schedule appointments, manage recalls, fill openings, and conduct outreach Present treatment plans and explain estimated patient financial responsibility Verify dental benefits and accurately enter benefit information into the practice-management system Explain employer-sponsored dental benefit plans, including deductibles, annual maximums, limitations, and exclusions Collect patient portions and process payments Work with insurance claims and related claims-management systems Maintain accurate patient, scheduling, and account information Open and prepare the front office for the day Keep reception and common areas organized, clean, and professionally presented Help improve workflow, patient experience, and front-office efficiency Who We Are Looking For Candidates should have either : At least 1 year of successful experience in a dental practice , or A college degree or comparable academic/professional background demonstrating strong communication, learning ability, organization, and problem-solving skills The successful candidate will be: Articulate and professional in both spoken and written English Warm, approachable, confident, and comfortable speaking with patients and parents Comfortable discussing treatment, insurance, and money Highly organized and detail-oriented Strong with computers, software, email, and information management Able to learn new systems quickly Dependable, punctual, and consistent Comfortable taking initiative and following through Able to accept feedback and continuously improve Interested in becoming an important long-term member of a small professional team Growth Opportunity We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the practice for 3 years or longer . For the right individual, this role can expand into broader responsibility for: Front-office systems and workflow Team coordination and training Practice operations Technology implementation and integration Process improvement Practice management Our goal is to find someone who can first master the front office, then help make the practice more efficient, reduce the operational burden on the doctor and owners, and contribute to stronger patient experience, revenue, reputation, and team satisfaction.
