Job Description
$1,000 Retention Bonus Rejuv Medical is currently recruiting highly motivated full-time Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing team at our Waite Park, MN clinic. The hourly pay range is $18.50 to $19.50 based on experience and the hours of the position are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5 pm. This position is responsible for all admin front desk duties, patient/client first point of contact, process transactions, collection of co-pays/balance/payments prior to services, complete data entry, and high-level patient/client care. Essential Functions
- Schedule patient/client appointments for clinic or gym o Appropriate visit type of appointment and department. o Attention to detail for each provider's schedule type
- Operate multi-line phone system o Direct calls, receive/relay messages appropriately. o Answer phones and take detailed messages
- Complete data entry when scheduling new patient/client o Collect appropriate information and verify insurance eligibility.
- Verify and update information at check-in o Verify/update patient/client demographics, scan insurance card(s) and identification, verify new patient packet is completed, verify compliance forms and financial consents are completed, and collect copays and account balances.
- Monitor/respond to clinic emails in a timely manner
- Complete daily checklist o Monitor amenities in lobby, supplement area, gym locker room, and bathrooms as needed and replenish items.
- Complete retail point of sale o Complete transactions and void transactions as needed.
- Enter gym contracts/ agreements o Collect data entry of client's information, take a photo for profile, enter scan card number to client's account, and update agreement changes.
- Manage action items and telephone encounters o Call each item in a timely manner.
- Manage incoming referrals o Create referral in patient's chart, scan documents, call patient to schedule and document in the referral notes, and assign to billing once scheduled to monitor appointment.
- Document management o Scan incoming faxes, consents and waivers into the appropriate file within the patient's chart.
- Regular, timely attendance to meet company needs in an efficient and effective manner. Qualifications
- One plus years of receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
- Certification in Health Information Technology preferred.
- Works as an effective and proactive team player; understands the importance of supporting our patients, clients and front desk team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a variety of people and personalities.
- Ability to apply effective time management and self-management skills. Ability to be flexible and productive in an environment with regular interruptions.
- Professional written and verbal communications skills and ability to present oneself and communicate in a professional, positive, and courteous manner with patients, clients, and all levels of employees.
- General computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other database/ERP applications (Athena). Adaptability to learn new software.
- Adapts to changes in the work environment, great at time management, and is able to be flexible with their priorities.
- Ability to utilize and maintain general office equipment.
