We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and highly organized Front Desk Coordinator to join our orthopedic practice. Our front desk is an important part of both the patient experience and the daily operation of our office. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, communicates professionally, pays attention to the details, and can confidently manage multiple responsibilities in a busy medical office. The right candidate will understand that great patient care begins before the patient ever sees the physician. Whether answering the phone, scheduling an appointment, or welcoming a patient to the office, this position plays an important role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional service. What You'll Do Welcome patients and provide a friendly, professional check-in and check-out experience Answer incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling and general questions Schedule and reschedule appointments accurately according to practice protocols Register new patients and maintain accurate demographic and insurance information Verify insurance information and identify referral or authorization requirements Monitor provider schedules and help maintain efficient patient flow Communicate with patients regarding appointments, paperwork, and scheduling needs Process incoming referrals, faxes, medical records, and correspondence Scan and route documents within the electronic medical record Coordinate with physicians, clinical staff, referring offices, and other members of the practice Help resolve patient concerns with professionalism, patience, and good judgment Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and practice policies Assist with additional front-office and administrative responsibilities as needed We're looking for someone who is: Friendly, professional, and genuinely enjoys helping people Dependable and punctual Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working independently Able to prioritize and manage several responsibilities at once An excellent verbal and written communicator Confident speaking with patients both in person and over the phone Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, and scheduling systems Experience Previous experience in a medical office, physician practice, or other healthcare setting is preferred.
