Job Description

This is a key role in our practice. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage the day-to-day front office, communicate professionally with patients, and help keep the clinic running efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and able to manage multiple priorities without needing constant direction. Primary Responsibilities Answer incoming patient phone calls and manage voicemail messages Obtain complete information and appropriately route clinical messages to the provider Schedule and reschedule appointments Patient check-in and check-out Accurately enter and maintain patient demographics Obtain insurance information and verify eligibility and benefits Collect copays and patient balances Manage new-patient paperwork and ensure required forms are completed Process medical records and incoming documents Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, lab/imaging orders, and records requests Maintain accurate documentation within the EHR Communicate provider instructions and routine information to patients when appropriate Help maintain an organized, efficient front-office workflow Assist with routine office cleaning and organization to maintain a clean, professional, and patient-ready environment Maintain and monitor inventory of medical and office supplies, including restocking and notifying the provider when supplies need to be ordered. Additional administrative and clinical-support duties as needed What We're Looking For Previous medical office/front-desk experience is required Experience with insurance verification and eligibility is highly preferred Primary-care experience is a plus Strong telephone and patient-communication skills Excellent attention to detail Comfortable learning and using electronic health record systems Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently Dependable, professional, and accountable Comfortable working in a small practice where everyone contributes to keeping the office running smoothly
Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 32.0 per week
