Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires proficiency in managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Manage incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary. Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Athenahealth. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history. Maintain organized patient records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow within the clinic or hospital setting. Provide support for billing processes by understanding dental terminology and other relevant medical terms. Requirements Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic and Athenahealth. Strong understanding of dental terminology and general medical terminology. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proficient in office management practices and administrative support functions. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.

$13.93 - $15.00 per hour
