Role and Responsibilities Seeking a friendly, energetic, detail-oriented Dental Front Office professional with a passion for providing high quality patient service. Nesbitt Oral & Facial Surgery is hiring an Oral Surgery front office teammate to join their practice in Mooresville, NC. Join a patient and team-centered environment where the number one priority is patient safety and care. Prior medical, dental or oral surgery reception and scheduling experience required. Dental insurance verification experience preferred. As an Oral Surgery Receptionist, you'll often be the first point of contact for patients and will support them through everything from scheduling appointments and follow-ups to welcoming and efficiently checking them in, to verifying insurance coverage. You'll also be instrumental in maintaining and strengthening partnerships with referring offices, working in close partnership to coordinate mutual patient care. We're seeking a well-rounded front office teammate with a strong customer service background and dental/medical scheduling & insurance verifications experience to join our team. Experience scheduling for a Surgery office is strongly preferred. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Promptly and warmly answer calls and emails from patients and referring offices Efficiently schedule and confirm appointments to provide a positive patient experience while maximizing the time of the doctor Accurately and thoroughly review, verify and complete electronic chart information Verify insurance and provide billing estimates Welcome patients when they arrive and register them for their appointment Partner closely with clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow Ensure accurate data entry to enable prompt and accurate billing and thorough patient follow-ups with referring offices Complete insurance verifications Maintain a clean and tidy front office area to present a welcoming environment at all times Qualifications and Requirements Prior medical, dental or oral surgery front office experience required Prior dental and/or medical billing/ insurance experience preferred Experience with DSN software preferred, but willing to train Skills Dental or medical reception and scheduling Warm, professional, patient centered demeanor Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Active listening Problem solving and critical thinking Works independently and is able to multi-task efficiently Ability to remain calm and professional in difficult situations and de-escalate patient concerns Collaborative team player
