Job Description

Job Summary We are a 2-doctor startup fee-for-service dental specialty practice, with 2 locations ~25 minutes apart. We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Front Desk/Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and referring offices, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience from scheduling appointments to managing patient records and answering incoming questions. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster trust and satisfaction while supporting the smooth operation of our practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your administrative expertise and passion for patient care in a relaxing and friendly environment. Our existing team is wonderful, and works together at both office locations. This position will primarily be for our Pittsboro, NC office, but will require some time in our Sanford, NC office as well. Office hours are typically M-Th 8am-5pm and we often see patients on Fridays by appointment. Responsibilities & Experience Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Collect payments Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information and questions, and assist with new patient registration Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments Manage patient records accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing clear information about procedures, insurance, and appointment availability Maintain organized systems for medical records and correspondence while ensuring data security and confidentiality Previous experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare office environment is highly preferred, although our EHR software is newer and can be taught Strong knowledge of dental billing & coding, and insurance processes is also preferred but not required Clinical confidentiality policies, and health information management practices Demonstrated clerical experience including filing, typing (10 key), data entry, and Microsoft Office applications Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Join us to make a difference in patients' lives by providing exceptional front desk support combined with comprehensive administrative care. Pay:
$21.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
