Job Description

A growing Dermatology practice located in Raleigh is seeking a professional, customer service driven, motivated, detail oriented medical receptionist to join our team. We are looking for a pleasant, positive person who loves people and looking for a long term position. You must share our dedication to providing excellent customer service for our patients. Prior experience in a Medical office, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery or other healthcare setting is preferred. Greets patients in a positive and helpful manner. Answers telephone calls, records messages for physicians and department personnel, schedules patient appointments and revises patient schedules for cancellations and so forth. Collect any co-payments, deductibles, and patient balances. Have an understanding of medical insurances, CPT & ICD-10. Maintain reception area Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes Maintain a positive attitude towards patients at all times and be able to handle stress as it arises Patient referrals Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Perform other duties as assigned Ability to multi-task and work with a group of diverse individuals Able to communicate in both oral and written form Able to explain cosmetic procedures and products to patients
