This position combines front-desk patient care, insurance and billing responsibilities, chiropractic assisting, and general office support. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with people, can stay organized in a busy environment, and is willing to learn the ins and outs of a healthcare office. Experience in healthcare, insurance, or medical billing is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. Responsibilities Patient & Front Desk Support Welcome patients and create a friendly, professional experience from check-in to check-out. Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient questions, and direct calls as needed. Schedule new and existing patients and coordinate follow-up appointments. Assist patients with paperwork, insurance information, and general office questions. Collect patient payments and accurately post payments to patient accounts. Insurance & Billing Verify patient insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits. Submit electronic insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner. Review claim status and follow up on unpaid, rejected, or denied claims. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing and claim issues. Send patient statements and follow up on outstanding balances. Help identify billing errors or account issues and work toward resolution. Maintain accurate patient account and insurance information. Chiropractic Assistant Duties Assist providers with patient flow and help prepare patients and treatment areas as needed. Assist with approved therapies and rehabilitation procedures following appropriate training. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment areas. Help ensure the clinic runs efficiently throughout the day. Administrative & Marketing Support Perform general office tasks including email, scanning, faxing, filing, and document management. Assist with social media by helping brainstorm, create, and post clinic content. Help with occasional clinic promotions, community outreach, and marketing projects. Maintain a clean and welcoming reception and waiting area. Perform light office cleaning, including vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, and taking out trash. What We're Looking For Friendly and comfortable communicating with patients in person and over the phone. Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities. Strong attention to detail, particularly with billing, insurance, and patient accounts. Comfortable learning new software and office systems. Able to work independently while also being part of a small team. Willing to learn about chiropractic care, rehabilitation, insurance, and healthcare billing. Professional, positive, and willing to jump in where needed. Previous healthcare, insurance, billing, or front-desk experience is a plus, but not required.
Pay:
$16.50 - $20.00 per hour
