You will handle patient interactions, manage appointment scheduling, verify insurance details, and support the overall efficiency of the dental office. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and efficient check-in process Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Collect payments, perform medical collections, and maintain accurate financial records Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately Review documentation such as care plans, medical history forms, and insurance information for accuracy and completeness Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks or Meditech Requirements Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding (ICD-10, CPT coding) Proficiency with dental practice management software Dentrix Ascend is a plus; Familiarity with insurance verification processes including Medicare and ICD coding procedures Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual settings preferred Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing) Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Previous clinic or healthcare experience involving medical billing, documentation review, or office management is highly desirable Join us to make a difference in patients' lives by providing top-tier administrative support in a vibrant dental environment!
