This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a high-volume setting. The selected candidate will be enrolled in college. The position requires strong multitasking skills, excellent communication, and a solid understanding of medical office procedures. Duties Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner Manage high-volume phone calls with proper phone etiquette Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow efficiently Verify and process patient insurance information Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Assist with basic clinical and administrative duties as needed Support the provider to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced setting Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, directing inquiries, managing referrals, and coordinating inpatient or outpatient services across various specialties like geriatrics or internal medicine. Approx 500 calls a day Experience (can train the right person) Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred is a plus Knowledge of insurance verification and billing processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems (ECW) Preferred Candidates College students pursuing nursing or healthcare-related fields are encouraged to apply Bilingual (Spanish/English) Must!
