Overview Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator, where your energy and organizational skills will be the heartbeat of our dental practice. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to insurance verification and patient check-in. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help streamline office operations, enhance patient satisfaction, and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and efficient check-in process Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software to optimize daily workflow Verify insurance coverage and benefits; perform insurance eligibility checks and pre-authorizations, and coordination of benefits with patients Collect patient information accurately, review medical and dental histories Obtain pre-athorizations, and billing and coding tasks, ensuring accurate documentation for procedures and care plans Answer multi-line phone systems with professionalism, practicing excellent phone etiquette while managing appointment requests and patient inquiries Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management Assist with intake procedures, patient education on treatment plans, and coordination of follow-up appointments Support office management duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining a clean, efficient front desk environment Experience Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and medical coding enhances your effectiveness in this role Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing) for documentation review and data entry Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while providing compassionate patient care Experience with insurance verification processes Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through friendly service and efficient office management.
