Job Description
We are looking for a kind and dedicated receptionist to join our small but mighty dental team! :) A little bit about us... We are a family owned dental office providing care in North NJ for over 30 years. Our office is all about treating every patient like family, whether they've been visiting us for 2 days or 20 years. Our environment really is relaxed but about getting the job done. Currently, we are looking for a receptionist to support our office manager part time, Monday and Thursday, with an additional half day to be discussed upon hiring. Duties Welcome patients and manage usual check-in procedures Manage appointments and patient information through Dentrix Ensure files are organized and prepared for patients Efficiently communicate with doctors and hygienists regarding patient needs Manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Ensure proper documentation review for billing purposes Maintain organized filing of medical records and ensure all documentation aligns with health information management standards Assist office manager in all other office management tasks such as insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and collection of copayments or outstanding balances Skills Proven experience in a medical or dental front desk role, knowledge of medical billing procedures a major plus History working with dental software and/or other computer software systems Quality interpersonal skills, and a love of helping others! Knowledge of office management practices including filing, documentation review, and office organization Strong capacity to multi-task, and a team attitude Familiarity with insurance and dental administrative support Bonus but not required: previous working experience as a dental assistant Compensation will be determined by experience
