Full Job Description Benefits:
Opportunity for advancement Paid time off Training & development We are a busy Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine practice based in Roselle Park, NJ. We are looking for a full-time Medical Receptionist (36-40 hours weekly) to join our team. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the front desk and successfully manage reception for our practice. You will be the first employee to interact with our patients & referral sources. As the first impression of our practice, customer service will be your top priority!
You Must Be:
Engaging and genuinely interested in exceeding the expectations of patients and referral sources Friendly with an outgoing personality; a sincere desire to know patients by name Bilingual; must be able to effectively communicate (oral & written) in English & Spanish Computer Savvy
  • able to use Microsoft Office & G Suite, knowledge of scheduling software, and be able to efficiently update patient medical records Trustworthy
  • promptly follow through on promises made to patients & referral sources, be committed to completing job responsibilities without the need for micromanaging Flexible

Job Responsibilities Include:
Managing the front desk & coordinating patient care Directing traffic; answering the phone and quickly transferring calls to the appropriate person Welcoming patients by greeting them in-person and on the phone; quickly schedule appointments and obtain necessary insurance & appointment information. Keep patient appointments on schedule by confirming all appointments, collecting patient demographics & new patient packets prior to arrival, monitoring patient arrivals & departures, and alerting the doctor to service delays Maintaining patient records by obtaining, recording, and updating personal, financial, insurance & medical information, and ensuring all information in SAS platforms is accurate and updated promptly Ensure availability of treatment information by quickly filing and retrieving patient records, sending out patient care updates to referral sources and facilities (physical therapy) Distributing faxes to the intended parties Maintaining the operational workflow of the office by following policies & procedures and providing feedback on changes that will help the office run more efficiently Promptly completing delegated tasks from the doctor and practice manager Protecting patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of all patient information
  • Must be able to travel to our East Brunswick office 2 times per month to oversee the front desk.
