We are dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with a focus on improving health outcomes and operational efficiency across our network. Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and personable Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional administrative support while ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and maintaining accurate medical records within a fast-paced clinical environment. Our urgent care is open 7am-7pm Mon to Friday and 6am-6pm on Saturdays and sundays. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule appointments efficiently using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth. Verify patient insurance information and assist with health insurance inquiries, including Medicare and Medicaid processes. Collect and process payments, perform medical collections, and handle billing procedures accurately. Manage electronic and paper-based medical records in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and care plans. Answer multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette while providing excellent customer service to patients and providers. Support clinical staff by managing medical scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-up communications. Skills 2 years experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth. 1 year strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and health insurance procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation review and administrative tasks. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle phone etiquette professionally in a busy clinic setting. Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Prior clinic or medical office experience is essential; dental clinic experience is a plus. Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations, clinical confidentiality policies, and health information management practices.
