In this vital role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they walk through the door. Your energetic approach will help coordinate appointments, handle insurance verifications, and support daily administrative operations. Responsibilities Answer and manage a high volume of incoming calls in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. Schedule patient appointments efficiently and accurately for both providers based on availability and urgency. Verify patient insurance information, eligibility, and benefits prior to scheduling or confirming appointments. Provide clear and accurate information regarding appointment details, office policies, and insurance-related inquiries. Address and resolve patient questions or concerns related to scheduling, insurance coverage, and general office procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, messages, and updates in the system. Ensure calls are routed appropriately when necessary and follow up on pending requests. Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical administrative support role within a clinic office setting Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Dr.Chrono, Advanced MD Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and insurance verification processes Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and typing (10-key) capabilities Exceptional communication skills with a focus on patient service and phone etiquette Ability to handle sensitive health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations Previous clinic or hospital experience is highly desirable Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing tasks Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalismJoin our team where your enthusiasm makes a difference!
