MEDICAL FRONT OFFICE
Our fast paced psychiatry practice is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated individual for our front office team. In this position, you will play a key role in administrative duties involved with coordinating patient and physician/ practitioners schedules, as well as EHR knowledge and office organization. A professional who believes and understands the value of compassionate patient service, combined with reliability and a strong work ethic, are core qualities of an ideal candidate. Essential Functions Greet patients and set a positive office atmosphere, both in person and over the telephone Complete patient check in and check out along with applicable patient paperwork Process co-pay transactions and processing all payments based on standard procedure Schedule new patient and follow-up appointments Review scheduled patient appointments and contact patients, via telephone, to confirm appointment date, time, and location Answer patient questions and provide assistance or direction when necessary Maintain a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Coordinate mail flow in and out of office Scan and fax documents as needed Organize and maintain patient records, updating when necessary Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Qualifications/Requirements Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of patient records An acute attention to detail Great organization and multitasking abilities Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and ability to operate basic office equipment Ability to work in a fast paced environment, high pressure situations, both independently and a part of a team Knowledge of medical reception tasks, medical terminology and paperwork processing requirements a plus
