Full-time, In-Person About the Position Gerber Medical Clinic is a well-established integrative medical practice in Reno seeking a dependable, friendly, and organized Medical Front Desk Receptionist to become an important part of our team. This position is the first point of contact for many of our patients and plays a major role in keeping the clinic organized and running smoothly. We are looking for someone who communicates well, enjoys helping people, can manage multiple priorities, and remains professional and calm during busy periods. Our practice is a small, close-knit office, so teamwork is important. While this position is primarily front office, all team members help one another and are cross-trained in different areas of the clinic. Responsibilities Greet and check patients in and out of the clinic. Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments. Collect payments and accurately document transactions. Maintain accurate patient demographic and contact information. Scan, upload, and organize patient records and documents. Communicate messages between patients, providers, and clinical staff. Assist with medication refill requests and other patient communications as directed. Help coordinate laboratory orders, records, referrals, and follow-up appointments. Maintain an organized and professional front-office environment. Assist clinical staff with patient flow and other tasks when needed. Learn clinic procedures, services, and workflows in order to better assist patients. Perform general administrative duties and help keep daily clinic operations running efficiently. Training & Development We provide in-house training in: Clinic workflow and procedures Scheduling and patient communication Electronic medical record (EMR) systems Patient checkout and payment processing Medical terminology Clinic services and treatment protocols Basic clinical workflow and cross-training Training is provided gradually, with additional responsibilities introduced as you become comfortable with the position.
