Position Summary The medical receptionist serves as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors at our practice.
Responsibilities include:
providing exceptional patient service, appointment scheduling, managing administrative tasks, and facilitating the smooth flow of patients through the facility. Our medical receptionists play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming environment for patients while ensuring efficient operation of the front desk and supporting the overall functioning of the health provider team. This position will flex between our Saratoga and Queensbury offices.
Employee's Responsibilities:
Greet patient and perform check-in duties Prepare patient charts with necessary paperwork Review demographic and insurance information with patient to ensure accuracy Verbally communicate with Physicians and Mid-Level Provider Use 'Triage' messages to communicate with others when appropriate Prioritize actions based on level of importance or urgency Answer phone calls and document calls appropriately Collect Co-Pays, Co-Insurance and Past-Due amounts at check-in Schedule and reschedule patients
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent At least 1 year public-facing position At least 1 year administrative experience Medical office experience desired Pleasant and professional demeanor At least 1 year experience with
