The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and providing essential administrative support. This role requires proficiency in various medical software systems and a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and billing practices. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar effectively. Handle patient inquiries via phone and in-person with excellent phone etiquette. Collect co-pays and process payments accurately. Verify insurance information and perform insurance verification as needed. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality. Manage multi-line phone systems to facilitate communication within the office. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow and care plans. Requirements Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical administrative support role is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and health information management is essential. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of medical collections processes is a plus. Prior experience in clinic or hospital settings is advantageous.
