Job Description

Position Summary:
The Receptionist is responsible for managing front desk operations, including greeting patients, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, and providing excellent customer service. This role ensures smooth office operations by handling phone calls, patient inquiries, and supporting administrative tasks. General Responsibilities Greet patients, verify/update insurance and personal information, and collect co-pays. Answer calls, direct inquiries, and document messages in the system. Schedule and reschedule appointments, including referrals and tests. Ensure provider schedules are filled and manage incoming faxes/documents. Provide coverage for special office hours (e.g., Saturday clinics). Process medical records requests and handle insurance referrals/authorizations. Provide patients with clinical summaries, manage daily cash and deposits. Maintain a clean and organized work area and patient waiting room. Assist with training new employees and perform other duties as needed. Participate in meetings, training, and contribute to office efficiency.
Qualifications:
Previous front desk or medical office experience preferred Familiarity with EMR systems (MEDENT) and basic administrative procedures Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail, punctuality, and commitment to patient confidentiality If you are a friendly, detail-oriented individual with a passion for helping others and supporting efficient healthcare delivery, we welcome you to apply and become a part of our team!
Salary:
$18.00 to $24.50 per hour DOE
