Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Front Desk Medical Office professional to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a busy healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of medical administrative procedures. This role involves managing patient intake, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate medical records. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, and Dentrix or Eaglesoft for dental practices. A commitment to patient service excellence and adherence to HIPAA regulations is essential to ensure a smooth and professional front office operation. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly while providing exceptional customer service in person and over the phone. Schedule appointments efficiently using multiple-line phone systems and digital scheduling tools. Verify insurance coverage and benefits through insurance providers, including Medicare and other third-party payers. Manage medical billing processes, including collection of payments and follow-up on outstanding balances. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records within various EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth.
