Our services include both walk-in urgent care and scheduled appointments, catering to patients from diverse backgrounds. Medical Receptionist The role of a medical receptionist is pivotal in shaping a patient's experience and setting the tone for their overall interaction with the healthcare facility. While the receptionist may not be directly involved in clinical care, they are the first point of contact and play a significant role in the patient's journey through the healthcare system. We are currently seeking individuals who are eager to take on this important role.
Your Role:
You are a proactive problem solver who makes timely decisions, excels in data entry and typing skills, pays great attention to detail, provides excellent patient service to ensure patient comfort, and effectively communicates with both patients and staff.
You Responsibilities:
Welcome and assist patients during check-in. Handle phone calls promptly, professionally, and courteously. Ensure accurate completion of all necessary forms and medical insurance documentation with at least a 95% accuracy rate. Schedule appointments using Electronic Medical Records. Register and discharge patients, ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and collecting copayments and other fees during service. Communicate with patients, providers, and their families compassionately and respectfully. Coordinate additional appointments, tests, and doctor's notes as necessary. Verify insurance coverage, obtain prior authorizations for tests, and arrange referrals to specialists. Address patient inquiries thoroughly and refer to appropriate resources if needed. Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as required. Work independently and collaboratively within a team. Maintain strict confidentiality. Perform other assigned duties as necessary. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent ( Mandatory ) Interested in working in the Healthcare organization Experience in customer service or patient care ( Mandatory)
