Job Description
Overview Portside Dental is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our team. Our practice prides itself on maintaining a great working environment and office culture. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by providing exceptional administrative support and customer service. This position requires outstanding time management skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and a positive attitude. We are looking for a team player who is willing to go above and beyond to build relationships with patients and deliver quality customer service. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures. Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations using clinic software. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and insurance information. Handle incoming calls, addressing inquiries and directing calls as appropriate. Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries. Review treatment plans and financing options with patients. Monitor recall and reactivation systems on a regular basis. Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients. Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate smooth operations within the clinic. Requirements Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and dental terminology preferred for effective communication within the team. Familiarity with phone systems and clerical duties. Knowledge of medical coding and collections is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care to patients.
