Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Receptionist for our Oral Surgery practice to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This vital role combines exceptional customer service with efficient administrative support, ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment while managing appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical documentation with accuracy and professionalism. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and guiding them through check-in procedure. Verify insurance coverage, including health insurance knowledge, Medicare, and dental insurance plans, ensuring accurate billing and authorization Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records), Dentrix, to update patient records and document clinical notes Perform medical billing and coding tasks using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding to ensure accurate reimbursement Review medical records and documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Maintain organized filing systems for medical records, insurance forms, and office supplies while supporting clinic management tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient intake Skills Proven experience in a dental receptionist role within a clinical setting, preferably in oral surgery or dental clinics Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems - Dentrix Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person Familiarity with medical terminology related to dental procedures and clinical care plans Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with typing skills including 10-key typing for data entry tasks Ability to handle administrative responsibilities such as filing, documentation review, and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in office management tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing electronic health records Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing exceptional front desk support in a fast-paced oral surgery environment. Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
