Company Overview Raider General Dentistry, provides comprehensive dental care utilizing the latest advancements in dentistry, including sedation dentistry, cosmetic procedures, and emergency treatments. Our practice is dedicated to delivering personalized, high-quality care for patients of all ages, with a special focus on pediatric dentistry and promoting excellent oral health from an early age. Job Overview We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, exceptional patient service abilities, and a thorough understanding of dental office operations. This role involves managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining accurate medical records to ensure a smooth and efficient clinic experience. Duties Greet patients warmly and provide outstanding customer service at the front desk while managing multi-line phone systems. Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle medical collections in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems including Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, and others to ensure accurate documentation review and data entry. Assist with insurance verification, billing procedures, and coding using CPT codes, ICD-9/ICD-10 codes, and medical billing best practices. Maintain organized medical records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies. Support clinic operations through administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing appointment reminders. Skills Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist with clinic or dental office experience preferred. Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare and Medicaid billing procedures. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and 10-key typing. Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills to provide excellent patient service. Ability to handle medical documentation review accurately while adhering to HIPAA standards. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Previous experience in medical coding (ICD coding) and medical billing is highly desirable. $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
