NEW CITY, NY
(ROCKLAND COUNTY) provides reception functions by greeting and welcoming patients to the practice. Coordinates smooth patient flow and provides administrative support to all physicians and staff. Ensures an organized front desk/reception and a consistently positive patient experience with excellent customer service at each visit.WORK HOURS
MONDAY-FRIDAY 8:30 AM- 5:00
PM Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Creates a positive practice impression and provides warm and friendly support to all patients, vendors, colleagues, etc. Kindly greet patients upon arrival to office Ensures incoming calls are efficiently and promptly answered minimizing wait times, transfer calls to appropriate staff or department. Manages all incoming and outgoing patient flow Check in / check out patients for each visit Daily patient chart preparation as requested by physician Authenticate patient information is correct in EMR for each appointment, update upon patient arrival as necessary Ensure all demographic and registration fields are completed with each appointment Verify insurance coverage for all patients in advance of each visit, scan copies of both photo ID and insurance card into the EMR Collect payments as required for each visit (copay, coinsurance, deductibles, outstanding balances, out of pocket) Medical records Check and distribute all incoming faxes, including e-fax and hard copy Obtain all required signatures (waivers, consents, etc.) Coordinate translation services for patients as needed Assist team members within department as needed Keep front desk area clean, organized and a presentable reception area Miscellaneous assignments as requested to be performed by supervisor or management Performs other duties as requiredPosition Requirements:
High School Diploma required Two (2) years recent experience with patient contact responsibility in a medical practice Abide by HIPAA and any state and federal laws to remain complaint in accordance with practice policies and proceduresWork Schedule:
