We are seeking a Medical receptionist who is motivated and focused on improving patient care, willing to learn different roles in the office. This position supports our Vascular department, working closely with our vascular physicians and clinical staff. This team member will play a vital role in the success of the revenue cycle. Candidates must display excellent analytical skills, display teamwork, and work efficiently to prepare claims for submission.
Duties and responsibilities:
Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone Answers phones and assists patients with scheduling appointments Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues Assists and monitors all outgoing referral and authorizations. Performs additional duties including but not limited to recording payment, faxing information as required, generating authorization requests, and verifying insurance eligibility. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling Notifying providers of patient arrivals Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records. Verifying insurance records and collecting co-payments. Faxing, scanning and any other duties as needed. Flexible to go to multiple locations.
Qualifications:
2 year of Medical office experience required. Experience in a vascular surgery or vascular medicine office a plus, but not required. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams Excellent customer service skills Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
