Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist/Physical Therapy Aide to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while supporting physical therapy operations. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of medical procedures and terminology. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and appointment scheduling to ensure a seamless patient experience. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with privacy regulations and clinic policies. Assist physical therapists with patient transfer methods, manual handling, and positioning to facilitate effective treatment sessions. Prepare treatment areas, organize therapy equipment, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are upheld throughout the clinic. Support patients during physiotherapy exercises, providing guidance on proper techniques and ensuring safety during rehabilitation activities. Manage administrative tasks such as updating medical records, processing insurance forms, and handling patient inquiries efficiently. Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, including CPR certification requirements, to promote a safe environment for staff and patients. Requirements Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting with a focus on patient service and healthcare administration. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation practices relevant to physiotherapy roles. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely during patient transfers or equipment setup. Familiarity with inpatient or post-acute care environments, including geriatrics and sub-acute care settings. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction, team collaboration, and conveying instructions clearly to patients. CPR certification is required; additional certifications in acute care or hospital medicine are advantageous. Experience working in physiotherapy clinics or rehabilitation centers is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
