Job Description

A Penfield-based Acupuncture office is looking for a Permanent Part-Time, in-person Medical Receptionist with a proven track record of office administrative experience. Must be a team player, a seasoned professional and have excellent people skills. Attention to detail, cheerful personality, ability to multi-task and computer skills, including Word and Excel are necessary. Experience with medical insurance billing, including determining patient eligibility and fighting denials a plus. Hepatitis B vaccination preferred.
Hours:
Wednesdays - 8:45am to approximately 7:30pm Fridays - 8:45am to approximately 5:30pm An existing Medical Receptionist works on opposite days (Tuesdays and Thursdays). In the occasional instance when your coworker is unable to work, you will be required to cover her time, and may work up to 40 hours in such a week.
Duties include:
Greeting and checking in patients; Answering the phone; Scheduling appointments; Collecting payments for services; Medical insurance work; Cleaning up rooms after treatments and resetting rooms; Washing and drying one to three loads of laundry a day; and Folding and putting away laundry. For the last three listed duties, each involves frequent ascending and descending of stairs because one of the treatment rooms is on the second floor and the laundry is in the basement. The laundry, which can be divided into two separate carrying containers, can weigh approximately 20 pounds. Please reply with a resume.
