In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative and billing support tasks. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression and efficient check-in process Schedule patient appointments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Verify insurance coverage with knowledge of health insurance policies, including Medicaid Managed Care Plans Collect payments and perform medical collections accurately while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Manage patient records by updating the EHR system, ensuring documentation review for accuracy and completeness Assist with medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and documentation review to support clinical operations Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and providing excellent patient service Prepare medical records and support administrative tasks such as data entry using Microsoft Office tools Uphold clinical confidentiality policies and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations at all times Experience Previous clinic or medical office experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with front desk operations and medical administrative support Strong computer skills with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding (ICD-10, CPT), and health information management practices Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Excellent customer service skills combined with clerical experience in a healthcare setting Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with health insurance processes and Medicaid guidelines is advantageous Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing compassionate service and seamless administrative support.
