Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist/Treatment Coordinator to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing appointment scheduling, patient records, and insurance processing. Your expertise will ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and a welcoming environment that promotes patient satisfaction. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims using health insurance knowledge and medical billing procedures Collect payments, perform medical collections, and manage accounts receivable with attention to detail Review and update patient medical records while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies Assist patients with care plan explanations and treatment options, coordinating with clinical staff as needed Manage phone communication with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries promptly and accurately Maintain accurate documentation review and ensure all clinical confidentiality policies are adhered to Support clinic operations by performing clerical tasks such as data entry, typing, 10-key typing, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems Experience Proven experience as a dental receptionist/treatment coordinator Strong understanding of health insurance processes including Medicare, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and medical billing procedures Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies and medical terminology essential for accurate documentation review Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer skills necessary for efficient office management Previous clinic experience with front desk duties, medical scheduling, and patient service is highly desirable Excellent communication skills with a professional phone presence and customer service orientation.
