Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, reliable, customer service oriented Medical Receptionist to work in a high volume, fast paced specialty practice. Our practice is quickly growing. Candidates MUST have MEDICAL office experience to be considered. Candidates must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate must be experienced in providing exceptional customer service. If you would like to work with a great group of providers and co-workers, this is the place for you!
Responsibilities:
  • Greets patients in a courteous manner, maintain the registration process and obtain accurate patient data including demographic and insurance information
  • Schedules patient appointments.
  • Adheres to privacy, confidentiality, and safety guidelines per office policies and protocol.
  • Explains financial requirements to the patient or responsible parties, collects co-pays and outstanding balances as required.
  • Answers phones in a timely manner and properly routes calls to the appropriate staff member.
  • Ensures that the reception and patient waiting areas are clean and organized.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting including insurance experience
  • Knowledge of administrative process, procedures, claims processing and preparing patient charts.
  • Have a basic understanding of office equipment use and functions
  • Medical terminology
  • Basic understanding of medical insurance
  • Proficient with medical practice management and EMR software.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, families, staff and others.
  • Organize and prioritize responsibilities while remaining flexible to changing demands.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
