Join Our Eye-Care Dream Team! We're Hiring a Medical call-center Receptionist! Are you the kind of person who greets every day with a smile? A ray of sunshine who brightens the day for everyone who calls our optometry office. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle tasks on the phone with ease (like scheduling appointments, answering insurance questions, and handling patient inquiries with grace). What You'll Be Doing:
Answer incoming patient calls in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments while ensuring appropriate appointment types and scheduling guidelines are followed Obtain and accurately enter patient demographic and insurance information Verify and update patient information within our practice management software Answer general patient questions regarding insurance coverage, benefits, and office policies Identify and appropriately triage urgent and emergency eye-care calls , gathering pertinent information and routing calls according to office protocols Check the status of eyeglasses, contact lenses, referrals, authorizations, and other patient requests Accurately document and relay phone messages to doctors, managers, and other team members Perform additional administrative and call center duties as needed
