Job Description
Description We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to support a busy healthcare setting. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming patient experience while keeping front-desk operations organized and efficient. The position involves coordinating administrative tasks, maintaining accurate information, and communicating clearly with patients and staff in a medical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and visitors, provide front-desk assistance, and ensure a welcoming experience from arrival through check-in.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirm visit details, and direct incoming calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Enter patient and visit information into office systems with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Organize, update, and retrieve medical records while helping maintain proper documentation procedures.
- Use basic medical terminology appropriately when speaking with patients and supporting clinical office communication.
- Prepare routine administrative documents and correspondence using Microsoft Word and other standard office tools.
- Support daily reception activities by handling general clerical work and assisting with office workflow as needed. Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist or front-desk administrative role within a healthcare environment.
- Working knowledge of medical records processes and the importance of accurate documentation.
- Proficiency in data entry with careful attention to detail and consistency.
- Comfortable performing receptionist duties such as answering phones, greeting visitors, and scheduling appointments.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology used in a physician office, clinic, or similar setting.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word for routine documents, forms, and written communication.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks throughout the day.
