Job Description

Job description Premier Physicians is currently seeking Medical Receptionist for one of our offices located at 7255 Old Oak Blvd., Middleburg Hts. Our growing group practice encompasses internal and family medicine, medical and surgical specialties, and has comprehensive on-site diagnostic centers conveniently located in the communities we serve in the Cleveland metro area. Premier Physicians has an open position for a full time or part time Medical Receptionist responsible for greeting patients, providing information and communicating with departments. Prior Medical Office experience preferred .
Essential Functions:
Greets patients in polite, prompt, helpful manner. Provides any necessary instructions/directions Informs appropriate department/person of an arrival. Completes necessary paperwork such as encounter forms. Uses computer system to generate information necessary for billing. Updates patient information, collects co pays, provides any necessary forms needing completion, and obtains signatures as necessary. Maintains clean, orderly waiting area including reading materials. Answers phones in a pleasant manner and deals with patients needs expeditiously. Supplements office staff as reception tasks permit by assisting with photocopying, computer input/typing and scheduling work as directed. Performs other duties as assigned. The job holder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to the job position. Knowledge of reception tasks, clinic policies/procedures and paperwork. Knowledge of office equipment including phone and computer Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques. Skill in using office equipment satisfactorily and handling paperwork/filing adequately. Skill in customer service principles by creating a pleasant waiting room atmosphere. Ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone, establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families. physicians and staff. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions. Can file correctly by alphabetical and numerical systems. This job has sitting for up to 8 hours a day. Requires eye-hand coordination, finger dexterity. Vision must be corrected to 20/20 and hearing must be in normal range. Must be able to view computer screens for long periods. Occasional stress related to workload and patients with problems. This is and office setting with exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to the environment.
