In this vital role, you will be the welcoming face of our clinic, managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining accurate medical records. Your energetic and positive attitude will help create a comfortable environment for patients while ensuring efficient clinic operations. We are seeking a motivated professional with strong medical administrative skills and a passion for healthcare service excellence. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing excellent customer service at the front desk. Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle medical collections accurately to support revenue cycle management. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including intake forms and documentation review. Maintain and update patient records in various EMR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with insurance verification Answer multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy, directing calls appropriately. Support clinic operations by managing filing, medical records organization, and documentation review. Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans and ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day. Skills Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administrative support within ophthalmology preferred. Strong knowledge of EMR systems. Solid understanding of medical terminology. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing proficiency. Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle patient inquiries professionally. Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately. Maintaining HIPAA compliance. Previous clinic or hospital experience with medical scheduling, insurance verification, and health information management is advantageous.
