About Us Mid-Ohio Foot and Ankle Specialists is a friendly, professional practice dedicated to creating a welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our door. We're a close-knit team that values growth, cross-training, and a genuine sense of accomplishment in the work we do. About the Role As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll set the tone for their entire visit. We're looking for someone organized, personable, and comfortable juggling a fast-paced front office — someone who enjoys learning new systems and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly. As you grow in the role, you'll have the opportunity to cross-train and gain exposure to other areas of the practice. What You'll Do Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out, including collecting payments and cash handling Verify insurance and communicate copay/deductible information to patients Answer phones and manage scheduling - booking, rescheduling, and cancellations Help patients complete check-in paperwork and maintain accurate patient records Scan and file documents into patient charts, following proper handling of confidential information Monitor and respond to after-hours messages in a timely manner Calling and scheduling of referral patients Maintain an organized, well-stocked, and welcoming front office and lobby Support daily office upkeep, including light cleaning of shared spaces Assist with administrative projects as needed and provide general coverage across the team What We're Looking For Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable with computers; EMR experience a plus, but not required Medical terminology or medical office experience preferred, but not required Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a busy environment Trustworthy with sensitive patient information A team player who's eager to learn and grow within the practice
