- Maumee OH Toledo Clinic - 3.3 Maumee, OH Job Details Full-time 18 hours ago Qualifications Phone communication High school diploma or GED Office phone management Full Job Description Toledo Clinic's Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine Department is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist. This position will work M-F (8:00 - 4:30). The office is located at 1661 Holland Rd in Maumee Ohio. Previous experience in a medical office is strongly preferred. General Summary Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office. Works under the supervision of the Practice Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule. Answering phones - courteously and professionally. Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc. Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications. Updating insurance information. Answering general patient questions. Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel. Other Essential Duties May Include but Are Not Limited To Collecting co-pays. Preparing and/or submitting charge tickets. Preparing and cleaning exam rooms. Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required Required:
Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire. Completes all tasks within established time frame. Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures. Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills. Computer skills helpful. Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
Education:
HS diploma or GED.
Preferred:
Previous clerical experience in a Drs. office.
